Download Latest UC Browser For Android

UC Mobile Inc. recently released its International version of UC Browser for Android. UC Browser is quiet popular in the mobile world and a strong competitor to Opera Mini. There are a lot of browsers already available for android like Dolphin, Fennec, Opera Mini, Skyfire etc. So what is the need of another one? Well, everyone has different tastes. I'm quite excited by release of UC Browser for Android because of its cool features.

Apart from the stunning UI, I'm pretty sure that UC Browser will be a great success for Android. While different browsers have different features, UC Browser seems to bring most of the features.

So what makes it so special?

Easy Navigation

This is truly an important part of an application. It is no hassle to use the whole new interface. Your bookmarks are just one touch away with the navigation icons at the top. You can search the web easily with variety of integrated search engines in the search box at your finger tip.

The part I appreciate very much is the collection of websites on the homepage, nicely categorized and arranged. There is even a section dedicated to websites related to Android.

UC Browser also remembers the websites you visit and shows the list of the most visited websites in the homepage.

While multitab browsing has become a must for modern browsers, UC Browser makes it much easier to switch between tabs. The navigation bar on the bottom has the most used functions so that you can access them faster than ever.

Everything is very nicely organized and easily accessible. The UI is very nice and you'll never feel boring. You'll love to touch the nice icons though.

Usually we should keep flipping the web page while browsing in the touch screen. UC Browser provides a pair of transparent buttons at the side of the page which you can use to quickly jump to the next screen page or previous screen page by one tap. It will help you to concentrate on the page without interrupting your reading to flip to the down screen.

Saves your Traffic

Data uses are not free. It costs you to subscribe to data plans. Even if you have an unlimited data plan, more data uses makes your browsing slower.

More Data Uses = More Cost + Less Speed

Unlike other browsers, UC Browser works through its own server. The pages are compressed on the server to deliver more lightweight pages to your phone. Also lighter pages mean less memory problems and a smooth browsing experience. Even if the pages are compressed, qualities of the pages are still awesome.

More Web Page options

There are three Browse Modes:

  • Adaptive – Page will be formatted to a single column and optimized for mobile viewing
  • Zoom Mode (Compressed) – PC like experience with less data uses
  • Zoom mode - Exactly how you see the page in Desktop browsers

If you don't get PC versions of some sites with the default User Agent, you can easily switch your User Agent between WEB UA and WAP UA to get your preferred format of Web Pages.

Share Websites

UC Browser makes it easy to share websites with your friends from the browser itself. I wish soon sharing by sites like Twitter will be supported too.

clip_image016 clip_image018

Also capturing and uploading photos directly from the browser is supported too! This makes much sense while sharing is really an important thing, and when you are using an open platform like Android.

Auto Refresh

Many times we need to keep monitoring a page which is auto-updating, such as your facebook page or Google news to get the latest news. In the past we needed to refresh the page manually, but now with the latest version of UC Browser Android version, you can just open the page in the background and set the auto-refresh interval, then you can keep browsing. But don’t forget to track it!

Reading mode

If you are browsing in Adaptive Mode, then you can easily use the Reading Mode to read long articles in a better manner.

Easily Accessible Functions

You can set most functions by just almost two taps. One is taping the menu button, the other one is to choose the function you want. As simple as that!

clip_image024 clip_image026

UC Browser also provides much more options to customize it to your heart’s content and give you a much smoother browsing experience.

Download Manager

No need to use other Download Managers. UC Browser’s built in Download Manager provides all basic functions you need. You can download multiple files simultaneously while browsing and Pause/Resume your downloads whenever you want. UC Browser also keeps a track of your downloaded files.

clip_image030

Bookmark Management

Bookmarks are integral part of any browser. In UC Browser, you can manage all your bookmarks easily. You can even arrange them in folders and order them as your wish.

clip_image032 clip_image034

History Management

UC Browser keeps track of all your web history. The history also appears in the front page along with the most visited sites. Don’t worry; you can always clear your History, Cache and Cookies if you like your privacy.

And Much More...

This fairly new browser is a must have for internet geeks. All the features are very practical and nicely implemented. I admit the inbuilt android browser is very much powerful. But it fails when it cannot give basic functionalities like uploading, auto rotate etc. When UC Browser provides all these bundled with nice features like Download Management and great themes with a lot more customization options, why not give it a go?
