Ovi Browser Beta - Mobile Browser By Nokia

Not very long when I had found a browser named nWeb by Novarra on the web. That version didn't work for me. So I searched for a new version. Then I came across the news that it has been acquired by Nokia. So I was expecting the release of a new browser by Nokia. First I thought it'll only come as inbuilt browser with Nokia phones. But Nokia has now unveiled the beta version of its Ovi Browser, which is downloadable from its site.

Ovi Browser has been targeted towards the Nokia s40 phones. Nokia promises to bring the rich web experience to its s40 devices with this new mobile browser. The Ovi Browser has been planned to release early in next year and is currently in beta. Though it lacks many features than its competitors as Opera Mini, UC Browser and Bolt, more features and better experience is expected in the next beta.

Ovi Browser features a nice user interface similar to that of Bolt, but much polished. The ad banner on the top sucks though. Also the address autocomplete is slightly advanced than other browsers.

I've not explored much as it was showing "Certificate not on Phone or SIM" and I was struggling to make it work on my phone. Keep in mind that it'll not work without the JAD file. So you must install both JAR and JAD files. For users with Certificate issues, I have made a JAD file without Certificates. All the three files including JAR, JAD and the unsigned JAD are in the ZIP archive(Link below). Just rename the unsigned JAD from
OviBrowserBetaUnsigned.jad to OviBrowserBeta.jad if you want to install the unsigned version.
