Canabalt Ipad apps review

Canabalt Ipad apps review

iPad Apps - Canabalt Canabalt is a simple and addictive game for iPad. It first saw life as a massively popular flash game that was ported to iPhone, where it found equally impressive followers. The iPad version is as good and addictive as the original, while being easier to play. The game is based on a single characters who runs through, and on top of, buildings as they crumble below his feet or present obstacles for him to jump over. Accompanying the fleeing character is an excellent selection of three soundtracks along with subtle sounds from the game itself. These rangs from the pitter-patter of feet to panting sounds as you jump across a particularly wide gulf.

You control the timing of the jumps by tapping on the screen (this is the only control). On iPhone, the game puts right-handers at a slight disadvantage as the right thumb and hand obstruct the view of upcoming obstacles. On iPad this problem is done away with on the bigger screen. The pixelated graphics will remind you of older arcade games. The theme, design, and music are all put together really well and you’ll find yourself launching this game every time you have a few minutes on hand as you wait at the airport or have time to kill during the commute. A perfect casual game that’ll keep you coming back to beat your rival scores on gamecenter.
