BURG - New Fastest Bootloader-- Forget Your Boring Bootloader

BURG - New Fastest Bootloader-- Forget Your Boring Bootloader
If you are familiar with Ubuntu or Linux Mint, then you are also familiar with GRUB (or GRUB 2), a brilliant bootloader. But it comes with a boring black-and-white screen. Of course it is customizable. For example in case of Linux mint it comes with a green wallpaper in background by default. But still it is boring. Now what if it looks something like this:

It looks great, right? Yes, you can apply themes like this to beautify your bootloader. How to do that? Let me introduce BURG, a Brand-new Universal Loader from GRUB.

Installation:
Just run the following commands in terminal:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bean123ch/burg
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install burg burg-themes
Now, it will ask for the hard disk drive where you want to install it. If it does not come automatically, run the following command:
sudo burg-install "(hd0)"
If needed, substitute hd0 with alternative drive. Now update:
sudo update-burg
You are done! Now reboot and see your brand-new bootloader.

Configure:
In the bootloader screen, you can press some hotkeys to configure it. Here are the list of most needed hotkeys:
Press T to choose between themes: Burg comes with lots of preinstalled themes. Choose your favourite one. You can add more themes later.
Press R to choose resolution: If the default resolution looks buggy in your screen, you can always adjust it.
Press F to fold/unfold: There are menu entries you probably never use, like Ubuntu Recovery Mode. You can hide/unhide those entries.
Press Q for old GRUB: You can also go back to your old GRUB menu any time.

More Themes:
Here are two favourite themes of mine. Just download and follow the instruction which comes with it to install them.

Fortune: This BURG theme uses Faenza-styled icons for menu entries. Click here to download.
