Aqueduct(review)

Aqueduct(review)

iPad Apps - Aqueduct Aqueduct is an interesting and engaging puzzle game for iPad. It mixes the concepts of slider-based puzzles with pipe-based ones. The gameplay revolves around arranging and re-arranging tracks and pipes to make water flow to the right spots. You have to move around existing blocks to connect the tracks in just the right way to redirect flow to the appropriate places. There are a bunch of quirky obstacles that you’ll have to get around, including conveyer belts, portals, and switches. The game is conceptually sound, offering real head-scratchers with no quick shortcuts available for any level.

The graphics and sounds are interesting as well, with a hand-sketched look accompanied by custom sound tracks that keep you focussed without being distracting at all. There is no time limit for any level so you can take your time playing or even leave a level incomplete in order to return to it at a later time. It integrates with Apple’s Gamecenter so you can track your achievements compared to others. This iPad app is perfect for short bursts of interesting play while waiting in line or during a commute. It’ll keep your mind working in the most boring of environments. A wonderful must-have iPad app for those who love puzzles.
